Let's Get Personal? UDL as a Way to Evaluate Personalized Learning

Personalized learning is all the rage for segments of the educational experience. Be it blended learning, online, or simply digital learning experiences, educators, developers, and students are touting the benefits of personalized learning. But how specific or unique to the individual is personalized learning? Better yet, how personal is personalized learning? Participants will explore ways that the UDL framework can and has been used to answer these questions. Together, we will explore a UDL scan tool. Findings from an initial study exploring popular digital materials used to foster personalized learning will be discussed. Come prepared to discuss what we have learned and of co,urse, to share your experiences.
