Implementing UDL in Classrooms Where Students With Emotional/Behavioral Disorders Are Included

This session will review results from a single-subject study that examined UDL implementation in five general education classrooms where students with emotional and behavioral disorders were included. Results related to implementation fidelity and teacher acceptability will be shared, along with recommendations for promoting greater support for students with emotional and behavioral disorders through more meaningful consideration of goals, planning, flexibility, and progress monitoring.

Assistant Professor, Minnesota State University Mankato
Kim Johnson-Harris was a special education teacher in K-12 schools in Southern Illinois for 20 years prior to making her way to higher education. Currently, she is an assistant professor at Minnesota State University Mankato in the Department of Special Education. Her research interests include instructional design, inclusion, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
