How do you work with school districts to implement initiatives like Universal Design for Learning, differentiated instruction, personalization, response to intervention, problem solving, and a multi-tiered system of supports? For me it is a matter of design. We look at the educational system we want to affect, and consider the design elements of these initiatives that can contribute to systemic change. This talk will examine an example design of integration that brings all of these initiatives together, and explore some reasons why the concept of design is critical to our work.
