UDL for the Wizarding World: An Implementation Story (* streaming available)

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

As wizards living in a muggle world, Lisa Carey and Jon Mundorf were uniquely suited to bring UDL to Hogwarts School for Wizardry and Witchcraft. The school made famous by Harry Potter has a centuries-long history of excellence. However, it has become clear that Hogwarts was never designed with student variability in mind. The school has underutilized great resources and failed to recognize the importance of flexibility and student choice. Hampered by its strong traditions and accolades, Hogwarts presented many barriers to implementation. Carey and Mundorf will guide participants through the barriers and obstacles to UDL implementation that they faced and demonstrate how to facilitate UDL in spaces that are resistant to change.
