Amy McDonald is a Ph.D. student and Math Specialist with the Arizona Department of Education, in the ESS Division. She holds elementary, secondary mathematics, and administrator certifications, and boasts teaching and administrative experience at multiple levels. She has served as Math Department Head and Instructional Coach and taught mathematics at every grade, preschool through high school. She passionately advocates high expectations and differentiated instruction for all students, especially those frequently underestimated in schools. When she is not teaching, tutoring, or planning her dissertation, she enjoys spending time with her husband and six kids, three of which are Great Danes.
